Communities for Change

What is a Community for Change?

In short, a Community for Change (or sometimes called a Learning Community) is a 2-year plus journey of culture change where you'll learn how to build a discipling culture and catalyze missional leaders to live the mission in your context.  Our partner practitioners will journey alongside and collaborate with you through a series of five / 1.5 day onsite training events.  These face-to-face gatherings (or Immersions) will be supported with weekly coaching for identified leaders as well as periodic online intensives that will provide your whole team additional teaching between face-to-face gatherings.  You'll receive Barnabas-like encouragement, coaching, and consulting from experienced practitioners to help you to Catalyze Leaders and Live into Mission in your unique contexts.

What is involved in the 2-year plus journey?

  • A total of four (4) 1.5-day immersion experiences that occur roughly every six months.

  • 1-hour online coaching for the senior leader (or other leaders on your team as you determine) in between immersions. Weekly during year 1, every other week in year 2.

  • A total of four (4) 2-hour online Intensives to address provided teaching inputs while also digging deeper with training and tactical exercises as you apply resources in your context.

Who can come?

We strongly recommend a team of at least 3 leaders from your ministry participate in the journey. The investment is also tiered for Teams of 5 or 7 with additional leaders receiving the weekly coaching.  You want your whole team to receive coaching to accelerate the culture change in your context?  No problem - we can make that happen, too!  We strongly recommend that one of the team members be the senior leader in your context. Leaders help define and shape culture and we've found that observing these recommendations will give your organization the best opportunity to experience successful culture change.
